Vice-Admiral Yamakaji (ヤマカジ中将, Yamakaji Chūjō) is one of the five Vice-admirals, who lead the Buster Call on Enies Lobby.

He seems to smile at all times, even during a Buster Call. He is also a smoker of cigars, just as Onigumo smokes cigarettes. His eyes are always closed and has a big brown beard.

[edit] Enies Lobby Incident
Yamakaji was only seen in two panels during the attack and was not given any speaking lines. In the anime, he appeared in one additional slide show scene, however he still did not speak at all.

Yamakaji was next seen at Marine Headquarters during the fight against the Whitebeard Pirates, telling Vice Admiral Tsuru to stay back.

As a Marine Vice Admiral, Yamakaji has command over lower-ranking subordinates.
He seems to be a swordsman, like most Vice Admirals, since he is seen carrying a sword during the Marineford Arc.
