Vira is a location in the One Piece world. Although never seen, two years ago, Nami read in a newspaper that its government was recently overthrown.[1] Vira is a small country in comparison to Alabasta.[citation needed]

HistoryEdit

In the Jaya Arc this place was also mentioned in one of Montblanc Noland's journal entries. Noland departed from there on June 21. Around 1122 it was described as a sunny town.[2][3]

Two years ago, a coup d'état occurred in Vira. This event was first mentioned in Chapter 96. Nami remarked that the world is in turmoil and there was another coup in Vira.[1]

Translation and Dub IssuesEdit

Vira has also been spelled as Villa by some scanlators and other translators.
