Vegapunk (fansubs)

From One Piece Encyclopedia

Vegapunk is the name of a One Piece fansubbing group. The group began in order to offer soft sub scripts to fans, so that they could style them on their own, as well as translate them into their own language. They now offer hard sub encodings of their episodes as well. They are the first One Piece fansub group to have released high-definition encodings. The group started during a time in which ADC was still subbing and are slower than Kaizoku-Fansubs at releases. However, due to unknown problems subbing has stopped at ep340, with only unsubbed releases from 341-356. Soft subs for episodes 340-372 are available now from their website, while hard subs have entered the encoding phase.

In addition to English releases, the group also has many other languages available on their site. They currently have 15 different languages: Swedish, Venezuelan Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Bahasa Malaysia, Turkish, Greek, Romanian, Norwegian, Slovenian, Brazilian Portuguese, Finnish, Hebrew, and Portuguese.

Besides being a fansubbing group, Vegapunk (or VP as it's written for short) also has an active forum. It has the main section, which is about Vegapunk itself. It covers the following parts;

  • Vegapunk Announcements: Every topic that is started in this section, will appear on the frontpage.
