Introducing the contestants:
- Numa Numa no Mi: The Numa Numa no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to become an element of "swamp" making the user a "Swamp Man". "Numa" (沼) means "swamp" or "bog". It was consumed by Caribou.
- Ori Ori no Mi: The Ori Ori no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that allows the user to bind their foes in iron shackles by having their foes pass either through the user's body or through the various metal bars the user can create. Ori means cage in Japanese. It was eaten by Hina.
- Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu: The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu (ヒトヒトの実 モデル：大仏Hito Hito no Mi, Moderu: Daibutsu?) is a Mythical Zoan-class Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into a Daibutsu (a giant Buddha statue). It was eaten by Sengoku, former Fleet Admiral of the Marines.
- Mero Mero no Mi: The Mero Mero no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that allows a range of attacks which use emotions of lust or perversion to transform opponents into stone. "Meromero" is an onomatopeia of "to fall down drunk," including being overcome with emotion such as love or lust. It belonged to the World Noble who fed it to Boa Hancock.
