It's time for another episode of my weekly chapter review! Hopefully this will not have 65 comments solely about Naruto or ST's terrible grammar.
As I said in last week's episode, it was time to prepare ourselves for a bloodbath. And a bloodbath we certainly got. While what we saw has been nothing new to One Piece, it was certainly refreshing to see a sorta mini-birdcage that shows us stuff we haven't seen for almost ten chapters.
Some notes on the chapter:
- I liked how Oda showed Doffy killing his father. Cora joining the Marines had previously seemed to be just out of the blue and sort of weird, but seeing him as an 8-year-old witnessing his brother killing his dad...wow.
- Corazon saying I Love You to Law.
Wow he's gayNothing to say here.
- While the interaction between Doffy and Corazon was a bit too short to me and was hindered by the fact that most of it was focused in Law's box, it was still powerful and it served as a fitting conclusion to two stories, Law's and Corazon's, and is going to help pave the way to the end of this arc
And, to quote Corazon, WE'RE FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE OF THIS FLASHBACK! FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
Thoughts on the chapter can go in the tiny little boxes below.
