I have been wondering this for a long time. What would happen if Crocodile fought Ace? This particular battle match-up has irked me due to its chemical nature. For those of you who don't know, when sand is superheated it becomes glass. Now, sand can become glass but glass can't go back to being sand, it's a one way street. So, what would happen if Crocodile's sand came into contact with fire of some kind or another whether it be from the Mera Mera no Mi, Fossa's flaming sword, or any other technique that can create fire hot enough to turn sand to glass? Would Crocodile turn to glass, or would he shrug it off like he does with most non-Haki attacks? Also, suppose he does become glass, what then? Would he become a glass Logia and we'd have the first Devil Fruit chemical alteration? Or, would he become a glass statue and be smashed like Kuzan broke Saul? Also, suppose he did die, would his fruit come back as the Suna Suna no Mi or the Grasu Grasu no Mi (that's the best I can find for glass while staying in the two syllable rule)? Would that give birth to a new Devil Fruit? Would the Suna Suna no Mi cease to exist? Please answer before my incessant rambling gets out of control!
