Happy Birthday the OP wikia...
So a few days ago on the chat someone asked if I could do a anniversary blog post. To be honest I don't know what to write about. So I've come to the conclusion the best way to ask about the birth of the wikia is to talk about the time before.
The wikia was created on this day about 8 years ago. But for me, it was "born" later when the "founders" came from wikipedia to the wikia in search of the promised land.
But the time before that... Lets talk about this.
At the time of the great wiki migration, there was a lot of hassle going down on the wikipedia website. For 2 years or so, the One Piece pages had been plodding along, slowly adding more content and expanding on things. We had no direction and no "rules" governing us.

Why so bitter?
So someone asked me a few months bck (not on the wikia but elsewhere) why I've seemed so bitter since my early giggly fangirl days when I first joined the One Piece fandom?
Well a LOT happened.
The wikipedia incident, Greg being a dick, lots of arguments, growing up and maturing from teen, young adult to just an adult... The feeling I'm worthless now to this wikia beyond recalling past events... The Voclaoid fandom constantly reminding its not as fun as the One Piece fandom is also one of the reasons believe it or not, since its become my replacement for the time I spent with this fandom.
So yeh, I end up grumpy regularly nd bitter about how things have generally gone. Add personnel problems weighing me down and reventing me beuing positive …
'Net ain't what it used to be.
I remember the olden days where everything was plain and boring, wher if you have one fancy java script the made your mouse do something it was considered "awesome". Where chat rooms were made mostly of teenagers that didn't really chat, where finding a good community was easier and the net was a lot tamer, full of Americans making you afriad to mentin when your not American.
That said, I'd not go back to those days, they were bloody annoying.
But I do find that I'm feeling "old" whenever I go onto places like this since I've been on the net for over a decade. Some things have never changed... Its full of things like the "blackbeard/sing a song of sixpence" myths and the idiots on youtube are even dumber. Everyone is used to the workings …
