Merger[]
No this isn't another merger suggestion... Its just recently whenever we've questioned as to things should be merged... Well the point of the merger is not gotten across and someone whines.
Why the merge between Shipwright Tools and Shipwright? Well as we said, the impression I got (and MF) was that we had a article about the shipwright tools and their uses and everything. We got was a short weapons list on a poorly laid out stub page.
While I understand Joekido's desire to see this Wikia reached the status of the Star Trek pages, without quality the pages might as well be not there at all. If you look up "pirates" you expect to find a page explaining pirates and giving out info on what they are and their link to One Piece. If you write a page about Shanks you expect to find everything about the character Shanks on there. If you write a page about Shipwright Tools... Well you get what me and MF thought would be there.
And another thing is, a dozen short articles scattered are harder to work on then a single page. As I said with the real life pages, it was fine having them, but they were "lost" until I found them again. At least 3 of them I didn't know we had, I think 4. They are now linked together so they can be found easier with their links to them from the characters pages. Such simple things shove many probs...
... And when my break from uni is on I'm gonna strengthen those pages by reading some books and added refs from books, but thats another issue.
So there you go Joekido... The expo on the merger things. Now I'm not for merger completely - I'm currently working on separate attack pages for characters instead of that massive heap of a page with no organisation. Its just I can see and can't see the point to some pages existing and others not. I'm actually happy we can have separate pages, it saves having one single page with quick refs on it like on wikipedia. One-Winged Hawk 11:11, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
