DISPLAYTITLE[]

Now let's settle this here hmm?--Rgilbert27 (talk) 18:24, December 28, 2018 (UTC)

Remove it. There's no reason for it. SeaTerror (talk) 18:45, December 28, 2018 (UTC)

Do you know what the purpose of DISPLAYTITLE is? If not: It's used in cases where wikipedia's software can't properly display an article's title because of inner restrictions. For example, I used it here to create an otherwise impossible underlined title. It should not be used to simply display a different title for an article. You can simply move the article if you want it to have a different title, after all. • Seelentau 愛 18:54, December 28, 2018 (UTC)

The title of an article should make people immediately aware of what they are reading about. I wouldn't say "Live Action One Piece Series" is bad in that respect, but there is no need to replace the actual page title which gets the point across just fine. You still haven't proved the live-action series won't be named One Piece.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 23:09, January 12, 2019 (UTC)

What? The burden of proof is on you to prove it WILL be named One Piece. We don't make assumptions by using proof that something isn't happening. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 04:16, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

If you can't agree it will be called One Piece then you have to agree there will be a live-action series for One Piece.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 06:29, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

I disagree with the DISPLAYTITLE feature's use here. We don't know what it will officially be called, but "One Piece (Live Action Series)" fits our normal practices for page naming.

Also, you need to understand that you, Rgilbert, have to make your case for why it should be changed. That is why this is on the talk page; you added the DISPLAYTITLE template, so you have to voucb for it. Turning it back around on us by saying that we can't prove you wrong is not making a strong case.

If you don't have an elaboration that can convince us, it is 4 to 1 for removing DISPLAYTITLE. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 09:17, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

For display maybe, but having it just be untitled live-action series is another.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 09:38, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

As Noland said, it;s a 4-1 majority. Please don't re-add the Active Discussion template unless something new comes up. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 19:25, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

OP still doesn't understand how DISPLAYTITLE is actually used... • Seelentau 愛 20:09, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

Is this for real RapidsLurker15?--Rgilbert27 (talk) 21:13, March 8, 2019 (UTC)

If you have a question about a specific user's edit, you'd have more luck posting on their talk page. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 19:30, March 12, 2019 (UTC)

MANAGING ALL OF THIS[]

How are we going to handle the Live Action adaptation of One Piece?

This includes managing any differences in character, events, and locations that may arise in the new series.
We will need to create new pages specifically for the Live Action version.

The question is, how should we handle the timeline?

Should we follow the same approach as One Piece School OR create entirely new pages that run parallel to the main timeline?— Preceding unsigned comment added by JiunoLujo (talk • contribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~ next time!

We made a forum about it before. You can read the discussion here and if you have any input, you can chime in.Montblanc Noland :: Talk 16:29, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

Questions.[]

Since the Live Action is coming out, are we going to use Live Action pictures in character pages and use Live Action locations in the picture place holder?
