Belly Dancing? Edit
Per quote in appearance which apparently comes from chapter 460, what is it that Hildon reports to Hogback from Absalom? Is Hildon saying that Absalom is asking if Hogback would do a belly dance, or is Hildon saying that Absalom is asking if he could use the dance hall? This here says one answer but I don't know if that is the correct line or a line changed by the translators.Mugiwara Franky 16:39, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
I took that line from Stephen's script translation site and he's realible. I don't why that manga scan site changed that but in the spoiler topic of that chapter, it was "belly-dancing". Sorry, I'm tired from sleep deprivation so that's all my brain can cough up.

- It appears to be belly dancing based on another translation besides Stephen's.Mugiwara Franky 16:53, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
even if it is in there, it is irrelavant to his appearance.
I think it fits under appearance because he is fat so he could be a good belly dancer.

.... I just went back and reread that chapter.... from three different scans.... each one only mentions Absalom requesting to use the dance hall, now I will consider "belly danceing" vandalism
- Both this and this say otherwise. Also please show and state the names of who did the scanlations by looking in the credits and showing us the sites. If they are all Bludshock_Umbra037 or something like that, then they are not three different scans but three different sites hosting the same scans.Mugiwara Franky 00:49, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Should Hogback, Absalom, and Perona be classified as pirates? After all, they do serve the (Government) pirate, Gecko Moria. Also, when Boa Hancock became a Shichibukai, her entire Kuja tribe were classified as pirates, even the islanders. Yatanogarasu 23:19, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Carl Hagenbeck= Dr. Hogback? Edit
Due to subtle similarities in their fields of study and Hogback's seeming theme for animals, might Carl Hagenbeck have been the inspiration for Hogback to some degree? (not to mention the names are some what similar)
Shouldn't the article be renamed to just Hogback (Dr. is not part of the name, it is something like title) Ruxax 21:06, May 14, 2010 (UTC)
