Seto was one of the Shandians whom used to live on Jaya 400 years ago. He was a curious and brilliant boy. He wished to be a great warrior like Calgara and defending his people.

Seto was a Shandian, who desired to be like Calgara who he admired. When he caught the plague, he became distaught that he was going to die never seeing his dream come true. He became one of the first Shandians to trust Norland, who as a stranger had cure his diease and earned his trust. He displayed noble traits by standing in front of the cages that held Norland's men when the villagers wanted to kill them, keeping their promise not to harm Norland's men until the time ran out. However he was quick to shun Norland like any other Shandian once they discovered their sacred forest was cut down. When Musse revealed their error he lived hoping for the day Norland would return. Like Calgara, he displayed strong desire to protect his village and cared heavily for its people.

He was also affected by the plague that has ravaged the Shandian Tribe.[1] But Montblanc Norland manage to cure it in time. He knew from the start that Norland was a honest, wise and good man and he defended Norland and his crew from the wrath of his people.[2] At some point after Norland's departure, he married Calgara's daughter Musse.[3]
Years later, he is seen with Calgara entering the ruins to ring the bell. While Calgara went to ring the bell, Seto fed Norla, who had made herself at home in the ruins. Suddenly there was an Earthquake, he and Calgara fled to the village. The Knock-up stream shot their island into the sky, Seto found himself living his childhood dream to defend their people, when the Skypieans had come to take their land away from them.[4]
