Saru is the pet dog of two of the World Nobles, Saint Roswald and Saint Shalulia.[1]
Appearance
This dog, like all other Nobles, wears a helmet to "protect" him from the outside air that commoners breathe. He has the appearance and color of the toy dog breed pug. However, his legs and body are longer than normal and his tail does not curl.[1]
Personality
Like his owners, Saru is very arrogant and conceited, since he wears a bubble to prevent breathing the same air as everyone else. He also believes people below his social status are “trash”, as he urinated on Dias when he failed to escape slavery.
History
Sabaody Archipelago Arc
When first introduced in Sabaody Archipelago, Saru came alongside its owners, and urinated on Devil Dias, a slave of his owner who tried to escape but was brutally injured by the Bomb Collar. Shalulia sarcastically reprimanded Saru's vulgarity on Dias.[1]
