The Salamander is the ship used by Gasparde's Pirates. It is Gasparde's former Marine ship, which he stole and modified it to be a pirate ship.
[edit] Appearance
It is clear from its Marine colors and the Marine symbol "X"ed out on the sail. The Salamander is a huge ship in a golden color with a colossal Gilded Dragon Prow on the bow, two large masts and many cannons. Its main propulsion is two colossal paddle wheels and a large steam engine.
Visually, the ship appears as large as Krieg's ship, the Dreadnaught Sabre. Coincidentally, Krieg also stole a Marine ship to start off in his pirate career.

During the fight between Shuraiya Bascùd and Needles, the latter caused some damage to the ship, despite orders from Gasparde not to. It was later destroyed when Anguma's Grandpa overloaded the steam engine, causing it to blow, crippling the Salamander. A typhoon finished the job.
