Appearance
Edit
Peterman is a large man with a muscular torso and proportionally thin limbs. He has fuzzy black hair, a flat nose, pronouncedly sharp lips, and his shoulders seem to have studs sticking onto them. He wears a brown shirt with a green vest over it, black pants, a yellow coned hat with a white feather that has a red tip on it, and boots with frills.
Personality
Edit
Peterman is a selfish individual, intending to sell Keimi into slavery and give only a measly 10% of the profit to the bounty hunters who gave him the information, and his willingness to enter the slave trade reveals his indifference towards moralities.
Abilities
Edit
As the head of the Hound Pets, he has total control over the gang, and the fact that bounty hunters would go to him for assistance signifies his strength. His weapons is a bow and arrows. However, Duval easily defeats Peterman.
History
Edit
Sabaody Archipelago Arc
Edit
He is informed by the same bounty hunters that attacked the Straw Hat Pirates before, that Keimi, a mermaid, is at Sabaody Park. He then arranges a deal of 10% of her final selling price to the bounty hunters and goes to kidnap her.[2]
He later takes her to the Human Auctioning House, to come back after she's sold for his share of the money. He never gets the chance however as the Straw Hats managed to rescue her and Duval with the Flying Fish Riders gives him a deserved beating for his actions and takes Keimi's bag back for her.[3]
Trivia
Edit
- Peterman's name is possibly a reference to Peter Pan, a fictional character in fairy tales. Although this was not yet confirmed by Oda, Peterman somehow resembles a mix of Peter Pan and Robin Hood, both fictional characters westernin literature, having Peter Pan's cone-like hat, but with Robin Hood's hat color scheme and a different two-colored feather. The pointed clothes are similar to Peter Pan's, but without the short sleeves, along with his bow and arrow, which is similar to Robin Hood's weapon.
