The Arabic dub of One Piece was televised on Space Power Channel, one of the most popular anime TV channels in the Arab world. It contains censorship, with varying degrees of application and consistency. For example, blood and violence is left intact in some episodes over others, in which case scenes depicting such were removed entirely. As a result, several episodes throughout its run went under the standard time duration, with the space being frequently filled by freeze framing, or slowing down and reversing footage. The most frequent and consistent edits were applied to female characters such as Nami, Nojiko, and Vivi, due to showing cleavage or exposed skin. When possible, they will cut out the scene where the cleavage is shown and freeze frame to another character. There are a couple of instances where shirts were drawn on the female characters because the shots were impossible to edit out. Unlike most TV-edited dubs of One Piece, Sanji's cigarettes and smoking habit is left fully intact. The original music score is kept, however there is a new opening sequence and some episodes had a new BGM score was placed beneath the next episode preview. The dub ceased production in 2010 at Episode 104, shortly after the start of the Arabasta Arc.
Since February 2021, One Piece has been airing fully uncensored and in Japanese with Arabic subtitles on the Middle Eastern Channel MBC Action, with no affiliation with Space Power or its release of the anime.
