One Piece Rainbow! is the second animation artbook, covering episodes up to the Enies Lobby Arc. It contains an episode guide, information on the main characters, the show series, voice actors, music and sketches.

The guide is composed of eight sections. Each section is named after one of the letters in "RAINBOW!", themed after a color in the rainbow, and narrated by a member of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Each section ends with a short comic titled Edit Time (編集TIME, Henshū TIME?), and there's one before the table of contents at the beginning of the book. Other than the first one, each comic is one page, and consists of the next Straw Hat criticize the just-completed section before stating they could write something better. The first comic shows the Straw Hats landing on Water 7 and Nami proposing they write a logbook, to which the other Straw Hats agree to each write their own logbook.

Each section of the guidebook also ends with the lyrics to some of the endings, in a section titled Editor-in-Chief Luffy wants to sing! (ルフィ編集長の 歌いたいねェぞっ!, Rufi henshū-chō no utaitai nē zo ~tsu!?) and styled like Record of the Music. The different section endings are listed here:

Record of the Music[]

Record of the Music: PIRATES SONG BOOK is the first section of the guidebook, narrated by Monkey D. Luffy. It is designed using the color red.

The section begins with Luffy recapping the events surrounding his eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi and Shanks losing his arm, followed by the Opening Narration. The TV edit of We Are! is then shown, with still frames from the anime and the lyrics detailed.

The rest of the section follows in a near-identical format, minus the Opening Narration. It begins with a recap of one or more given season(s) of the anime, followed an opening, made up of still frames and the lyrics. The season recaps are sometimes paired with editor's notes, elaborating on what Luffy ignored.

  1. Season 1, followed by Believe.
  2. Seasons 2 and 3, followed by Hikari e.
  3. Seasons 4 and 5, followed by BON VOYAGE!.
  4. Season 6, followed by Kokoro no Chizu.
  5. Season 7, followed by Brand New World.
  6. Season 8, followed by promotion of One Piece - Super Best.
  7. Episodes Special 1, 2, 3, and 4, followed by a profile on Luffy.

Luffy's logbook, "Pirates Song Book", was published on May 7, 2007, and was purchased for Beli571 + tax. It was published by the Straw Hat Pirates and printed by Water Seven Print.

Adventure the World[]

Adventure the World: NAMI'S SAILING LOG is the second section of the guidebook, narrated by Nami. It is designed using the color orange.

The section begins with a map of the East Blue and Paradise, pointing out the locations where the Straw Hat Pirates were introduced in the anime. General information is given as well, such as explanations on the Island Climatic Types, the Calm Belt, Reverse Mountain, and Sky Islands.

Following that, Nami goes into detail about the different locations she's visited during the series, along with how much money she made or lost at each and summaries of what she did while there. Note that "belly lost" includes money spent.

Between Warship Island and Reverse Mountain, Nami asks Robin for explanations on Foosha Village, Shimotsuki Village, and Ohara. Between Navarone Island and Long Ring Long Land, she asks for information on the Three Great Powers. After Enies Lobby, she asks for explanations on Poneglyphs, the Will of D., Ancient Weapons, the Great Kingdom, Marine Headquarters, Mary Geoise, and Laugh Tale. The section finishes with a profile on Nami.

Nami's logbook, "Nami's Sailing Log", was published on April 27, 2007, and was purchased for Beli6,953 + tax; she received royalty payments of 80%, and made . It was published by the Straw Hat Pirates and printed by Water Seven Print.

Items Collection[]

Items Collection: Soge Jump (ソゲジャンプ, Soge Janpu?, stylized like the V Jump logo, with "ソ" replacing the "V") is the third section of the guidebook, narrated by Sogeking and Usopp. It is designed using the color yellow.

The section starts with an advertisement from Sogeking, promoting sales of mass-produced Kabutos for Beli800 a piece. Following that, Usopp spotlights a collection of One Piece video games: One Piece: Unlimited Adventure, One Piece: Grand Battle! 3, One Piece: Grand Battle! Rush!, Grand Battle! 2, Grand Battle!, One Piece: Ocean's Dream!, and One Piece: Going Baseball. Finally, Sogeking details various One Piece merchandise, before a profile on Usopp finishes off the section.

Usopp's logbook, "Soge Jump", was published on April 1, 2007, and was purchased for Beli476. It was published by Sogeki Royal Family (そげき王室, Sogeki Ōshitsu?) and printed by Big Sniper Printing (大狙撃印刷, Dai Sogeki Insatsu?).

Number 1 Bouts[]

Number 1 Bouts: Communication through Swordplay (剣技通信, Kengi Tsūshin?) is the fourth section of the guidebook, narrated by Roronoa Zoro. It is designed using the color green.

The section is framed as an interview with Zoro, with questions from Johnny and Yosaku. The first question is regarding the 10 best fights in One Piece; each fight is detailed, with commentary added by the interviewers. Note: the fights are listed in chronological order

Following that, Zoro is asked about the 10 best techniques in One Piece; similarly to the fights, each technique is detailed, with commentary added by the interviewers.

Beautiful Girls[]

Beatiful Girls: GRANDLINE JEWELRY is the fifth section of the guidebook, narrated by Sanji. It is designed using the color light blue.

The section begins with large spotlights on various female characters, giving a nickname to each.

  1. Nami, nicknamed "My Aphrodite" (6 pages)
  2. Nico Robin, nicknamed "Mysterious Moon" (4 pages)
  3. Nefertari Vivi, nicknamed "Desert Flower" (4 pages)

Following that, Sanji creates short spotlights on a collection of female characters, with short blurbs on what he likes about them. The women are separated in food categories, as if creating a full meal.

Finally, the section ends with a profile on Sanji.

Sanji's logbook, "Grandline Jewelry", was published in two editions, on April 27 and May 1 2007 respectively, and was purchased for Beli2,800 for men and free for women. It was published by the Straw Hat Pirates and printed by Water Seven Print. Photographs used in the logbook were taken by Sanji.

Ocean Craftmanship[]

Ocean Craftmanship: SUPER Ship Manual is the sixth section of the guidebook, narrated by Franky. It is designed using the color blue.

The section begins with a full diagram of the Going Merry, followed by a step-by-step of all the major damage it took during the Straw Hat Pirates' journey to Water 7. Franky then explains the process of building and shaping a ship, using various ships from One Piece as examples. He then includes an encyclopedia of various ships in the series:

After the encyclopedia, part of the process of converting the Thousand Sunny into the anime is included, followed by a spotlight on the real-life Going Merry.

Finally, the section ends with a profile on Franky.

Franky's logbook, "SUPER Ship Manual", was published on May 1, 2007, and was purchased for Beli3,900 + tax. It was published by the Straw Hat Pirates and printed by Water Seven Uramachi Print (ウォータセブン裏町印刷, Wōtā Sebun Uramachi Insatsu?).

Wonderful Project[]

Wonderful Project: One Piece INSIDE is the seventh section of the guidebook, narrated by Nico Robin. It is designed using the colors purple and magenta.

This section begins with a roundtable discussion by the Straw Hat Pirates' voice actors, then short, individual interviews with each of them. Following them is a recap on information about Poneglyphs, written by the anime's staff; each staff member wrote individual parts, with their names to the side.

Bonus Book[]

Bonus Book: Exciting Fun Book (わく☆わく おたのしみブック, Wakuwaku o Tanoshimi Bukku?) is the eighth and final section of the guidebook, narrated by Tony Tony Chopper. It is designed using the color pink.

The section begins by focusing on Chopper Man, highlighting the main characters that appear in it. Following that are short board games and a profile on Chopper.
