Karakuri

Karakuri Island (からくり島 Karakuri-jima, lit. Mechanical Island) is an island somewhere on the Grand Line which resides the Future Country Barujimoa (未来国バルジモアMirai-koku Barujimoa, Future Land Baldimore in the FUNimation subs). The kingdom specializes in advanced technology, such as cyborgs and mechanical structures. As such, it is hailed as the "Future Kingdom" and the birthplace of the genius, Vegapunk. The name of the island the kingdom is on refers to Karakuri, a traditional Japanese mechanized craft wherein furniture and dolls come to life as if by magic.

Franky was sent here by Bartholomew Kuma during the incident in the Sabaody Archipelago. While exploring the island, he reached Vegapunk's old home.^[1][2][3]

The only resident known by name as of now is Taroimo. The island is also populated by other cyborg animals, such as a beetle, a lion, a gorilla and a snake.

• To fit the Cyborg theme, the highest mountain in the island has 2 giant bolts (Much like Dr. Frankenstein's creature on its neck).
