Camus is an anime-only con man who pretends to be a member of the Rebel Army in order to get free food from the villages he visits. He is followed by his three friends who help him in his scheme.[1]

Camus is a tall, lanky-looking man with spiky blond hair and a large nose. He wears a beige vest with brown shoulder pads and a matching chest pad. Under his chest pad, he wears a striped undershirt. He also wears jeans, dark gloves, boots, shin pads, and a purple hair band.

Originally, as a conman, Camus cared only for himself and his accomplices and took advantage of the generosity of the local townspeople.[1] However, after facing the "evil pirates", he realized the importance of heroism and kindness.[2]

When Camus was a child, he looked up to Pell and Chaka and wanted to emulate their courage and heroism. He later realized that he wanted people to feel the same about him.

Abilities and PowersEdit

Camus is a fairly strong man in comparison to most, since he landed a punch on Luffy that was strong enough to knock him down and leave a mark on his face.[2]

He is seen carrying a rifle but has only used to carry his stuff.[1] It is unknown whether he can fight with it or not.

When Camus and his accomplices were children, they looked up to Chaka and Pell as role models.

Camus and his false rebels was first seen in Ido enjoying free food from the citizens, making them believe that the band was part of the real Rebel Army and would protect them from bandits.[1] When the Straw Hat Pirates along with Ace and Vivi arrived at Ido, they discovered the con artists' scheme, and after a little discussion, decided to turn the four fakers into real heroes. Luffy and his comrades attack them and Camus thought about the children that wanted to be like him when they grew up, like how he wanted to be in relation with Chaka and Pell. The pirates then ran away, pretending to be cowards and showing the villagers that Camus and his friends was heroes. Thanks to them, Camus and his friends learned the importance of being a hero.[2]

Camus's BandEdit

Camus led a group of con men who traveled from village to village in Alabasta in order to get free food while posing as members of the Rebel Army. They only appeared in the anime, and made their debut alongside their leader in Episode 99.[1]

The second accomplice yelled "doskoi" (a traditional sumo yell) while attacking Sanji.[2]

Abilities and PowersEdit

Little is known about the abilities of Camus's accomplices, but the second accomplice has enough strength to break the ground in front of Sanji with one attack.[2] The third accomplice carries a katana, but it is unknown how skilled he is in using it. It is also unknown whether or not the first accomplice is an actual boxer or whether he just has the gloves and possesses no abilities.[1]
