Anime Vs Manga[]

The animated version is very detailed. Use that.  Staw-Hat Luffy  Talk  14:32, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

The animated version is awful. He's not touching the smoke, and his face is derpy.   Galaxy 9000   14:38, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

anime is non-canon. luffy was supposed to touch the smoke but since toei are derps they didn't want to spend the money on the va saying BUSOSHOKU KOUKA and animate a black glove (because haki totally corrode through fabric) because luffy HAVE to do that to touch logia by toei logic. so instead they animated him touching smoker's shoulder, which didn't imply as much bad-assery from luffy's side, thus non-canon. Bumping this, it was never resolved.  Staw-Hat Luffy  Talk  09:52, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

It was. The anime doesn't show him touching the smoke (and lacks Haki). It's as simple as that.   Galaxy 9000   09:54, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

It wasn't resolved. You stated your opinion, now let other people do it.  Staw-Hat Luffy  Talk  09:58, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

It's NOT a plot image. There is no haki in the anime image. There is no gripping of his intangible body. How in the world can you prefer the anime version at all?   Galaxy 9000   10:00, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

You could even read the page to see what the use of the image is. "He was also able to grab Smoker's arm in its smoke state as if it was solid, " Smoke state. Smoke state.   Galaxy 9000   10:03, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

Luffy touching the smoky part is an essential feature. The purpose of the scene is to show Luffy bypassing a logia's intangibility (with haki) for the first time in the manga. Zodiaque             10:11, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

I also support the manga version. It's about the depiction of Haki, so the details are very important here. JustSomeDude...  Talk | 20:26, July 29, 2013 (UTC)
