Johnny tells the others about Nami killing Usopp, and Luffy does not believe them until Nami appears herself and confirms it. She tells them to stay out of her business and to leave without her, but Luffy stubbornly decides to stay on the island. Usopp returns, revealing that Nami only pretended to kill him by stabbing her own hand, and Nami's sister, Nojiko, starts to explain why Nami is acting the way she is.
Johnny tells the other that he saw Nami killing Usopp, but Luffy does not believe him until Nami occurs in front of them. She claims not to be a friend of the group suggesting them to leave because Arlong has decided to kill them and also confirms that Usopp has died.
Elsewhere in the archipelago a Marine ship is preparing to put an end to the tyranny of Arlong. The commander orders to immediately shot to Arlong Park, but the cannonball is stopped and destroyed by Arlong with his teeth. Three of his subordinates start to counterattack and destroy the ship without difficulty. Back at the base the three praise Nami's cartographic ability and speak of the covenant about the possibility of redeeming the village behind the reward of one hundred million Belly.
Johnny and Yosaku decide to leave in a hurry to escape the fury of Arlong, while Zoro and Sanji are suddenly achieved by Usopp. At her home Nami starts talking to her sister Nojiko and confesses that she has become close to Luffy's crew. Usopp begins to tell of how Nami had only pretended to stab him and at that moment Nojiko reaches them to explain the reasons for the actions of her sister. Luffy, however, decides to go for a walk because he considers Nami's past not interesting.
