Dragon Ball Z
From One Piece Encyclopedia
Dragon Ball Z is the long-running sequel to the immensely popular anime and manga Dragon Ball released in Japan and Hong Kong. The series is a close adaptation of the second (and far longer) portion of the Dragon Ball manga written and drawn by Akira Toriyama (in the United States, the manga's second portion is also titled Dragon Ball Z to prevent confusion). The 'Z' was originally added to the title by Toriyama to signify it as being the ending portion of the Dragon Ball series.
[edit] One Piece Crossovers
There have been a few crossovers between the DBZ universe and the One Piece one. One of the most recent ones was the Cross Epoch.
Another cross over featured a short animation of Luffy and Goku taking on Enel in Tokyo. A crossover animation which included characters from One Piece, Dragonball and Astroboy was also made.
Other crossovers where Dragonball and One Piece appear alongside have included various games such as Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars. Both series were included among the three most populaur Shonen manga in Shonen jump magazine in Battle Stadium D.O.N. The third series also featured in the game was Naruto.
