Choi[1] is an infamous New World pirate who allied himself with the Whitebeard Pirates.

Choi is an average sized man, with tanned skin and a black hat. His hat has a red feather on it, and he wears a black coat draped over his shoulders. His shirt is a light brown, with dark brown vertical stripes. He sports green pants, that show off his ankles and he wears brown normal shoes.

PersonalityEdit

Not much is known of Choi's personality, other than that he was willing to fight to save Ace.

Abilities and PowersEdit

Choi is a fearsome pirate who has managed to achieve an infamous reputation in the New World, and to make an alliance with the Whitebeard Pirates. He fights with a double lance but its ability is unknown.

PastEdit

Some time prior to the current storyline, Choi became a known pirate in the New World, and allied himself with the Whitebeard Pirates.

Marineford ArcEdit

When Portgas D. Ace was to be executed at Marineford, Choi and his crew joined forces with the Whitebeard Pirates to save him.

He is first seen fighting a Pacifista with fellow pirate captains Elmy and Pavlik. He is later seen among the group of New World captains who were backing up Monkey D. Luffy and Emporio Ivankov on Whitebeard's orders.

He is later seen during Ace's death, standing around him and Luffy with Hangan and Baggaley.

Post-War ArcEdit

He, along with the rest of the crew, attended Whitebeard's and Ace's funeral at an undisclosed island somewhere in the New World.

  • Choi is a Korean surname that can mean 'high, superior, lofty or towering'.
