Camus and his false rebels was first seen in Ido enjoying free food from the citizens, making them believe that the band was part of the real Rebel Army and would protect them from bandits.[1] When the Straw Hat Pirates along with Ace and Vivi arrived at Ido, they discovered the con artists' scheme, and after a little discussion, decided to turn the four fakers into real heroes. Luffy and his comrades attack them and Camus thought about the children that wanted to be like him when they grew up, like how he wanted to be in relation with Chaka and Pell. The pirates then ran away, pretending to be cowards and showing the villagers that Camus and his friends was heroes. Thanks to them, Camus and his friends learned the importance of being a hero.[2]
