Borodo
From One Piece Encyclopedia
Borodo is a character that appears in the second movie. The Straw Hats meet him and Akisu, who call themselves the Thief Brothers, while looking for their ship which was stolen. Borodo informs them that the Trump Siblings have it and he and Akisu accompany them to Clockwork Island and the Trump Castle. When Luffy and Zoro get caught in one of the Trump's traps, Borodo reveals that he was the one who stole the Going Merry with the hope that the Straw Hats would defeat the Trump Pirates so he could steal the Diamond Clock, as well as provide a home for Akisu who isn't really his brother by blood since he found the boy in the ocean when he was a baby. After the Straw Hats defeat the Trump Siblings, Akisu is reunited with his parents and Borodo starts to sail off by himself. Much to his surprise, however, Akisu decides to continue sailing with him as he still considers Borodo his brother.
