With the 1/144 World Scale One Piece figure series, Bandai created the first figure line whose goal is to render every objects and characters of the One Piece world at the same scale.

The size differences between a giant and a regular human is so huge that it is quite difficult for sculptors to render nicely every One Piece characters in scale within a sensible price range. Despite the difficulties, this series takes for reference Oars as a 30 cm tall figure, reducing the 1.72 m of Luffy to a figure of a mere 1.2 cm tall. Another selling point of this series is that the chosen scale should allow full dioramas of One Piece scenes.
